CELEBRATING THE BEST IN WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Created by HS&E and FOX Sports, the Shark Beauty™ Women’s Champions Classic is an early-season college basketball showcase featuring some of the game’s most storied college programs on the biggest stage: in the Mecca of basketball, New York City. The 2025 event will welcome back the University of Connecticut, the University of Iowa, the University of Louisville and the University of Tennessee in a doubleheader that’s scheduled to tip off in primetime (subject to change) on FOX, Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The past year has proven to be an unprecedented time for growth in women’s sports—and particularly women’s basketball. HS&E and FOX saw a void in early-season tournaments for the women’s game, so they created the Shark Beauty™ Women’s Champions Classic. And they invited four of the most storied programs for the inaugural doubleheader.

Four legendary women’s college basketball programs return to Brooklyn for 2025 in the second Classic featuring all four schools from the inaugural event. Between them, they boast a total of 20 NCAA Division I National Championships, 46 appearances in NCAA Final Fours, and 120+ conference titles.
