THE CLASSIC

The Women’s Champions Classic is the premier early-season college basketball doubleheader celebrating the growth in women’s sports and college basketball, created by HS&E and FOX. Featuring some of the game’s most storied women’s programs, it can only happen at the biggest stage in basketball: New York City. The inaugural Classic kicks off in a primetime doubleheader on the FOX broadcast network on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

THE TIME IS NOW

The past year has proven to be an unprecedented time for growth in women’s sports—and particularly women’s basketball. HS&E and FOX saw a void in early-season tournaments for the women’s game, so they created Women’s Champions Classic. And they invited four of the most storied programs for the inaugural doubleheader.

THE TEAMS

Meet the best of the best: Four legendary women’s college basketball programs. The Classic will launch with the University of Connecticut, the University of Iowa, the University of Louisville, and the University of Tennessee. Between them, they boast a total of 19 NCAA Division I National Championships, 46 appearances in NCAA Final Fours, and over 120 conference titles.
